Daycare & Boarding Requirements
To ensure a safe, healthy, and positive experience for every dog in our care, all pups must meet the following requirements before participating in daycare, boarding, or related services at The Bark Park.
Spay & Neuter Policy
All dogs over 1 year of age must be spayed or neutered to participate in daycare or boarding. We understand that individual circumstances may apply and are open to discussing exceptions when appropriate.
Vaccination & Health Requirements
For the safety of our pack, all dogs must have current vaccinations for:
Rabies
Distemper/Lepto
Bordetella
Dogs must be in good health and flea/tick free prior to any service. Vaccination records can be uploaded to your client portal or emailed directly to info@thebarkparkbham.com.
Social & Group Play Eligibility
The Bark Park is a group play environment, designed for dogs that enjoy being around other dogs. Some barking and excitement are expected; however, dogs displaying excessive, disruptive, or unsafe behavior may be dismissed from group play for the safety of the pack.
If your dog is still learning social skills, please let us know — we’re happy to discuss whether our environment is a good fit.
Human Interaction & Handling
Dogs should be comfortable being handled by staff. If your dog has shown fear-based aggression toward people, this must be disclosed prior to service so we can determine the safest and most positive care plan.
Temperament Assessment
All new dogs are required to complete a Temperament Assessment during their first visit (up to 2 hours, free of charge). This allows our team to evaluate social behavior, play style, and overall compatibility with our group environment.
Additional Important Policies
Personal items left with your dog are welcomed; however, The Bark Park is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
Owners are responsible for any veterinary costs resulting from injuries caused by their dog.
By utilizing our services, clients acknowledge the inherent risks of dog play and agree to all terms outlined in our service agreement.
